Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Ataullah Tarar has said that India has no ability to stop Pakistan’s water, and so far India has not stopped the water supply. He said the ceasefire between the two countries was the result of diplomatic efforts in which China, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkey, and Qatar played a key role.
In an interview with British TV, Atta Tarar said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed special thanks to US President Donald Trump, who expressed his desire to resolve the Kashmir issue. He said that this desire has been openly stated in Trump’s second tweet.
Atta Tarar said that Pakistan expressed regret and sympathy over the Pahalgam incident and offered to cooperate in a transparent investigation, but India accused Pakistan without any evidence, which has not been proven to date. According to him, India failed miserably in linking the incident with Pakistan.
The federal information minister clarified that no group has claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam incident, while the incident is a complete failure of security despite the presence of 700,000 Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. Ceasefire is not Pakistan’s weakness but a strategic success.
He said that there is no safe haven for any terrorist group in Pakistan, and continuous operations are being carried out against terrorists on the western borders. Pakistan has fought the biggest war against terrorism and has made innumerable sacrifices.
Atta Tarar said that Pakistan has successfully targeted Indian military installations and arms depots, India has suffered clear losses, and it is not in a position to escalate further. The entire nation is standing with the forces of Pakistan, and Pakistan’s success is visible day by day.
