ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has emerged as the largest party in the Senate with 23 senators. One seat of the party is vacant due to the death of Senator Taj Haider, after which the current number of PPPP senators is 23.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is second with 19 seats in the Senate, while the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had 17 seats in the Senate, but the number has come down to 16 after the resignation of Senator Sania Nishtar.
Other parties present in the Senate are as follows:

Balochistan Awami Party: 4 Senators
National Democratic Party: 3 members
United National Movement (Pakistan) 3 Senators
House of Representatives: 1 Senator
National Party: 1 Senator.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz: 1 Senator
Sunni Unity Council: 1 Senator
Members of the Senate: 6
A total of 11 seats are currently vacant in the Senate, of which 11 are from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Senate elections could not be held. Additionally, two seats are also vacant due to the death of Senator Taj Haider and the resignation of Senator Sania Nishtar.
