Islamabad – Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has strongly rejected the baseless allegations leveled against Pakistan by India after the Pahalgam incident, saying Pakistan has been the biggest victim of terrorism and it has nothing to do with the incident. He also called for an impartial and transparent investigation into the incident.
In his meeting with UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, the prime minister conveyed his best wishes to the UAE president and thanked him for his unwavering support to Pakistan. He urged the brotherly countries to exert pressure on India to de-escalate tensions in the region.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said Pakistan was dealing with the scourge of terrorism emanating from its western front, and the Indian actions and aggressive posturing were aimed at diverting Pakistan’s attention from counter-terrorism efforts. He said Pakistan would never take any step that would threaten regional peace and security.
In his meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al Maliki, the prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability in the region and urged the brotherly countries to exert pressure on India to de-escalate tensions.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan has made immense sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, and the international community should take note of India’s baseless allegations.
