Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has termed the allegations made by India against Pakistan as baseless and said that India itself is responsible for the Pahalgam incident. He told the American broadcaster that India had no evidence of the incident.
We have credible intelligence that India is planning an attack on Pakistan in the next 24 to 36 hours, Tarar said. He said Pakistan had offered a transparent and impartial probe into the Pahalgam incident, but India did not respond positively to it.
He added that Pakistan is a peaceful country and has always wanted peaceful co-existence, but if India commits any kind of aggression, it will be given a befitting reply. He called on the international community to take note of the situation and refrain from provoking India.
Tarar said India’s role as a litigant, judge, and arbitrator in the region is self-evident and unacceptable. He said Pakistan itself has been a victim of terrorism for two decades and strongly condemns terrorism in any form in the world.
He said Pakistan reserves the right to self-defense and is ready to respond to any aggression.
