Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s Cleared stance on Sindh’s water: Either the water will be ours or their blood

Sukkur: Addressing a large public gathering in Sukkur, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has sent a strong message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Listen, Modi, the Indus River is ours; either our water will flow in it or their blood. He said that India’s baseless allegations against Pakistan and attempts to cast aspersions on the Indus River are unacceptable. Bilawal Bhutto said that India’s blaming Pakistan after any incident of terrorism in occupied Kashmir is a well-thought-out conspiracy, to which our forces will respond in a befitting manner.

He stressed that every Pakistani has to become an ambassador of the Indus River because the eyes of the enemy are on our water, and we have to unitedly thwart these attempts. Bilawal Bhutto made it clear that a consensus had been reached between the PPP and the PML-N that no new canal would be built without the consent of the people and all the provinces. He informed us that the Sindh government has submitted objections on the issue of water sharing since July, and the matter is under consideration in the Council of Common Interests.

Referring to the May 1 rally in Mirpur and the May 2 meeting of the Council of Common Interests, the PPP chairman said the implementation of agricultural projects would not be possible without mutual consultation. If a plan is not agreed upon, it will be sent back to the relevant institution. Bilawal Bhutto said that if the PPP workers had not come to the field, it would not have been possible that such a public voice would have reached the government houses.
