Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, in a recent interview, has termed the allegations leveled by India against Pakistan as contrary to facts and against diplomatic etiquette. Talking about the Pahalgam incident, he said the possibility of calling it a “false flag operation” cannot be ignored.
“Pakistan has been a victim of terrorism for decades; how can we support terrorists? “Pakistan stands firmly against terrorism.
He stressed that India’s direct or indirect role is visible in Balochistan, the Jafar Express tragedy, and TTP-related activities. According to him, the recent arrest of the Indian agent is reminiscent of the Kulbhushan case.
He said that Indian consulates in Afghanistan have been supporting terrorist groups in the past, for which Pakistan has evidence.
Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan is moving towards internal stability, and with the expected return of Nawaz Sharif, it is possible to restore political trust in Balochistan and other sensitive areas.
He described the PTI’s clandestine links with the establishment and its focus on one-man politics as detrimental to the country.
