KARACHI: According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold rose by Rs 8,100 per tola to reach the highest level of Rs 357,800. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 6,944, after which the new price was Rs 306,755.
Gold prices also hit a record high in the international market, where gold is trading at $3,433.60 after rising $69 per ounce.
According to experts, this increase has come due to global economic uncertainty, the weakness of the US dollar, and US-China trade tensions.
