Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari, in his special message to the Christian community on the auspicious occasion of Easter, has said that this day is an opportunity to promote the spirit of love, sacrifice, and forgiveness. It is not only a religious festival but also a reminder of hope and philanthropy.
The President said that all minorities in Pakistan are equal citizens and their rights are fully guaranteed by our Constitution. We want every person in Pakistan to have equal opportunities for development, no matter what religion or faith they belong to.
He lauded the services of the Christian community in education, health, and public service and said that it is their bright role in nation building that the entire nation is proud of.
