Islamabad – The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced new fees for Smart National Identity Card (CNIC) and Child Registration Certificate (B Form) for 2025. According to the new schedule, the fee for a smart identity card has now been fixed at Rs 750 for general processing, Rs 1,500 for urgent processing, and Rs 2,500 for executive service. While the B form, which is required for registration of children, will be Rs 50 for regular service and Rs 500 for executive service. These documents are considered mandatory for government schemes, financial assistance, tax filing, and other government facilities. These changes in fees have been made to simplify the identification process and promote digital governance.
Steps to improve the facilities
According to NADRA officials, the institution has upgraded its facilities in recent times. So that quick and effective service can be provided through registration centers and online systems. The new fees will improve processing and provide better service to the public.
Identity cards are no longer available in post offices
NADRA has also announced the closure of all identity card-related services in General Post Offices (GPOs) across the country. The facility was started three years ago for the convenience of citizens, but it failed due to lack of public interest and lack of an awareness campaign. More than 83 counters, including in Karachi, have been closed. The equipment of these centers will now be transferred to the Union Councils. To improve services at the local level.
