ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari, in his special message to the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr 1446 Hijri, has extended warm greetings to the entire nation and the Muslim world on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
He said that Eid-ul-Fitr is a reward from Allah, which has been given in return for the hard work of fasting and worshiping during Ramadan. Ramadan teaches us patience, piety, worship, and helping the poor. We should make these blessed teachings a part of our daily life so that there is true happiness and well-being in the society.
The President said that true happiness lies in sharing our joys with others, and for this, we must contribute generously to help those in need. We can fulfill the needs of the needy by paying Zakat, Sadaqah, and Fitrah, which is also the spirit of Islam.
He said in his message that the day of Eid gives us a lesson of unity and solidarity, and we have to work unitedly for the development and prosperity of the country. He stressed the need for continued efforts for the betterment of Pakistan and the welfare of its people.
The President also remembered the people of Kashmir in his prayers and said that may Allah bless them with freedom soon and alleviate their sufferings. He prayed to the Almighty to guide Pakistan on the path of peace, stability, and development and remove all the challenges facing the country.
