Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed to ensure foolproof security arrangements for the protection of citizens during the Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr. He directed the police officials to ensure the safety of women and children in markets and public places.
The Chief Minister stressed increasing the patrolling of women police squads, especially in the markets, so that women could be protected from any kind of harassment or untoward incident. Along with this, additional police personnel have been approved to be deployed in 65 major commercial centers of Lahore.
According to the statement, modern technology will be used to maintain law and order in the city on the moon night. Drone cameras and night vision telescopes will be used to monitor the markets. to take immediate action on any suspicious activity.
Special attention is being paid to the prevention of deforestation in Lahore to secure the joy of Eid. Blockades will be set up at 55 places for this purpose. To prevent young people from committing life-threatening stunts. In addition, the deployment of police personnel will be ensured at 225 sensitive locations around ATMs and banks across the city. to prevent any possible mishaps.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given clear instructions to the security officials that no laxity will be tolerated in protecting the lives and property of the people, and all possible security measures will be taken during the Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr.
