ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has stressed the need for national unity and solidarity, saying that the responsibility of solving all the problems of Pakistan lies not only with the government or any one institution but with the entire nation. National consensus and solidarity are indispensable to tackle all these issues. He said that if we put our personal aspirations and differences behind us while keeping the larger interest of the country in mind, then the path of progress and prosperity can be paved for Pakistan.
Speaking on the threat of terrorism, Shehbaz Sharif said that we have to unite against this menace, as these elements are bent on sabotaging Pakistan’s peace and stability. He made it clear that the terrorists are well aware of where they are getting financial support from, and all possible steps will be taken against them.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has been blessed with immense natural resources by Almighty Allah, but the enemy forces do not want the country to develop by taking advantage of these resources. However, our forces and law enforcement agencies are making valuable sacrifices for the security of the country. He appealed to all political and social circles to forget personal differences and unite for the development of the country, as national unity and consensus is the only way to take Pakistan forward.
