KARACHI: There was a slight fluctuation in the prices of foreign currencies in the open market of Pakistan today. According to foreign exchange dealers, the US dollar is being bought at Rs 280.60 and sold at Rs 282.10. After fluctuating in the British pound, it was bought at Rs 361.75 and is being sold at Rs 365.25.
Similarly, the euro remained unchanged at Rs. 306.00. Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar was bought at Rs 176.50 and sold at Rs 178.75, while the Canadian dollar was bought at Rs 195.85 and sold at Rs 198.25.
The Chinese yuan was bought at Rs 7.55 and is being sold at Rs 37.95. The Saudi riyal was bought at Rs 74.75 and is being sold at Rs 75.30, while the Emirati dirham is being bought at Rs 76.15 and sold at Rs 76.80.
According to experts, there is a possibility of volatility in the currency market in view of the global economic situation, foreign exchange reserves, and import costs.
