Peace and development in Balochistan is the top priority of the government; terrorist elements will be defeated at all costs. President Asif Ali Zardari

Quetta: President Asif Ali Zardari, while addressing an important meeting on law and order in Quetta, said that the anti-terrorism wing would be provided with modern weapons and terrorist elements would be defeated at any cost. He made it clear that terrorists want to divide the nation, but the state has to stay and win this war.

The President said that Balochistan is close to his heart, and the government is committed to sustainable peace and development in the province. He said that he wants to see every child of Balochistan in school, and it is the need of the hour to expose children to modern technology.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended the meeting, while Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti briefed on the law and order situation in the province. Balochistan Governor Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir, IG Balochistan Moazzam Jah Ansari, and other senior officials attended the meeting.

The meeting deliberated on ensuring law and order in the province and more effective measures against terrorism. The government reiterates its commitment to continue its vigorous efforts for the welfare and development of the people of Balochistan, so as to put the province on the path to a peaceful and prosperous future.
