Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar said that the security forces showed utmost skill and bravery during the operation. Four FC personnel were martyred before this operation, but the forces brought the terrorists to the end in an effective strategy.
According to government sources, the terrorists tried to use human lives as a shield, but the forces acted cautiously and moved all the hostages to a safe place. The information minister said that if the forces had not acted in time, the incident could have turned into a major tragedy.
Statements were made by some political elements on this incident, to which Ata Tarar reacted strongly. He said that some politicians used the incident to polish their politics, and the Indian media also carried baseless propaganda on it. Surprisingly, he said, the Indian media, the BLA, and a particular political party were taking the same stand.
The Prime Minister praised the performance of the security forces on this successful operation and said that the government will not sit until terrorism is completely eradicated. Atta Tarar further informed that the prime minister will soon visit Balochistan and discuss the future course of action.
The government has reiterated that there will be no let-up in the fight against terrorism. Security forces, police, and other law enforcement agencies are fully mobilized and will continue operations against terrorists. Atta Tarar said that terrorists will never succeed in their nefarious objectives and there is no place for terrorism in Pakistan.
