Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub lashed out at the federal government and institutions while speaking to the media outside the Adiala Jail. “The federal government’s institutions are in disarray. The law and the constitution are being violated.
Ayub said the PTI delegation had come to Adiala Jail on the directions of the PTI founder, but they were not allowed to meet him. He said that last week also he had come for a meeting, but he was stopped. He said that the superintendent of the jail has written to the court that meetings will be held, but in practice this is not happening.
“We raised the same issues in our meeting with the Chief Justice of Pakistan,” he said, referring to the illegal arrest of PTI leader Awan Abbas Bappi. “He stressed that the supremacy of law and the Constitution must be ensured in the country.
Omar Ayub also expressed concern over the situation in Balochistan. “The writ of the government in Balochistan has been reduced to a red zone. The government has no control over the eight districts. Condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, he said the government should pay immediate attention to this problem.
He also questioned the country’s economic situation and said that “inflation is rising in the country, two million people have left Pakistan, and $27 billion of capital has gone out of Pakistan. ” Referring to the failure of SIFC, he said, “SIFC has completely failed.
“The only target here is the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. ” He stressed the need for a close investigation and said that transparency and accountability should be ensured to solve the problems of the country.
