Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser Criticizes Federal Government, Calls for Transparent Elections

Nowshera, March 2, 2025 – Former National Assembly Speaker and senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Asad Qaiser, has accused the federal government of focusing its efforts on suppressing PTI instead of addressing critical national issues. Speaking to the media in Nowshera, Qaiser expressed deep concern over the recent explosion in the region, calling it a consequence of flawed policies.

Qaiser stated, “The incident that occurred yesterday is extremely regrettable. Such events are a direct result of our policies. Instead of addressing these pressing issues, the federal government is busy oppressing PTI. Our province is in a state of turmoil, and all we desire is peace.”

The former speaker emphasized the need for a comprehensive policy to ensure peace and stability across the country. He also highlighted the importance of revisiting Pakistan’s policy towards Afghanistan, stating that it requires immediate attention and strategic adjustments.

Qaiser did not mince words when criticizing the current state of the Parliament, calling it “fake” and demanding transparent elections. He announced that PTI would launch a vigorous protest movement after Eid, urging the government to ensure fair and free elections to restore public trust in the democratic process.

“The people of Pakistan deserve a government that represents their will. We will not remain silent until transparent elections are held,” Qaiser asserted.
