Federal Minister Rejects Indian Media’s “Fake Threats” Over Champions Trophy, Accuses BCCI of Propaganda

Islamabad: Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar dismissed both fake and baseless threat warnings that play in Indian media about Pakistan’s upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. Through a statement released today, Tarar declared such reports as “false” because they represent “fabricated” propaganda, which stems from “malicious” BCCI actions.

The minister blamed Indian media for spreading false information about the Champions Trophy while accusing the BCCI of being unable to accept ICC events hosted in Pakistan successfully. Indians direct their false propaganda about Pakistan towards their own feelings of helplessness. BCCI leadership conducts this defamation campaign because Pakistan continues to host international cricket competitions successfully,” Tarar revealed.

The Indian board’s efforts to stop sports from functioning in Pakistan are “condemnable” while Pakistan continues to guarantee the safe and successful operation of the Champions Trophy. Our capability to host international events along with the high level of fan enthusiasm during recent matches, including Australia and England matches, demonstrates our strong cricketing enthusiasm, according to Tarar.

Cricket lovers worldwide can celebrate the return of international cricket matches to Pakistan stadiums, according to the event organizer. The response from fans during Australia-England matches proves that Pakistan possesses the capabilities needed to stage world-class sporting events.
