Islamabad: Senator Irfan Siddiqui from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) made his statement about the Barkhan incident being a purposeful scheme to generate animosity between Balochistan people and Punjab people during the Pakistan Senate session. The attack against Punjab residents should not imply any hostility exists between Punjab and Balochistan provinces.
The Barkhan incident arose from specific interests that aimed to generate conflict and loathing between Balochistan and Punjab provinces, according to Irfan Siddiqui. Irfan Siddiqui stated both provinces hold no hostility toward each other, and untrue provocations seek to destroy the mutual harmony. The senator expressed how Punjab and Balochistan are connected provinces as he clarified that this incident is opposite of each province’s true feelings. The official asked for national solidarity while warning citizens to understand the true reasons that cause such hostile actions.
The session included procedural observations by Irfan Siddiqui, which explained that rules in the Senate operate under Rule 14. The meeting needed to focus on waiting matters while striving to minimize waiting times according to his proposal. Siddiqui defended his participation in the session by asserting that his right to be present as presiding officer precedes any objections because his name is established at the beginning of every session.
