Islamabad: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar and PTI Opposition Leader Omar Ayub both strongly opposed the proposed salary rise for parliamentarians because it was both useless and poorly timed.
Representative Gohar stated during his media appearance at Parliament House that he was unhappy about the government’s neglect of important national matters which included economic deterioration and international disputes regarding Iran, Saudi Arabia and Gaza.
According to him the government should direct its attention to meaningful reform programs and public welfare initiatives instead of salary increases.
Omar Ayub spoke on behalf of PTI to underline their request for establishing a judicial commission to probe alleged political actions on May 9 and November 26 which have intensified political tension in Pakistan.
The PTI leadership beings accountability to demonstrate its steadfast support for transparent governance along with its pursuit of justice without hesitating to question the government’s policies.
