Pakistan Achieves Historic Milestone: Inflation Drops to 2.4% in January 2025, Lowest in 9 Years

Islamabad: The Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praises the January 2025 inflation rate of 2.4% because it establishes a nine-year low. The Prime Minister expressed in his Islamabad release that inflation reached 28.73% in 2024 before dropping to 4.1% in December of the same year.

The Prime Minister affirmed that declining prices across the economy create favorable conditions for public well-being while food costs decrease to enhance the standard of living. The Prime Minister declared that government economic policies, with their implemented measures, succeeded in driving inflation down along the right path.

The Prime Minister expressed that declining inflation has produced favorable growth conditions in every sector of the economy. The government remains determined to boost its efforts toward controlling inflation because it produces economic stability advantages for society.
