PSX Experiences Bearish Trend

Karachi: The poor corporate results from blue-chip businesses continued to put pressure on market sentiment, and the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) ended the day on a negative note. Throughout the trading day, investor confidence was weakened since the reported results did not live up to expectations.

Throughout the day, the benchmark KSE-100 Index moved 2,114 points, reaching a low of 113,482 points before settling down a little.

The transaction value of the 490 million shares that were exchanged was around Rs. 26 billion. At Rs. 13,928 billion, the market capitalization had dropped by Rs. 188 billion. As market activity revealed a lack of optimism, investors remained cautious, pushing the day’s result into negative territory.
