Islamabad: PML-N leader Irfan Siddiqui has discussed the recent meeting of Barrister Gohar with the Army Chief, which according to him was a big event.
Relating the statement, Irfan Siddiqui reported that Barrister Gohar is contended over the decision to commence direct talks at the highest military lineup. It is said that Gohar said that both backdoor and frontdoor procedures will go on simultaneously.
But the issue of having different channels of negotiation was raised by Senator Irfan Siddiqui. In the same way, he said that you cannot conduct talks through two or three doors at a time, which means one must be more concentrated on a particular subject.
Siddiqui added that what Pakistan needed now was not to look for the small doors, windows, and ventilators for negotiations. “If the door that took us a year to open is opened today, there is no need to strive for opening another,” he said.
He also accepted this by stating that the PTI chief and Aleema Khan have expressed positivity about the much-awaited meeting between Barrister Gohar and the Army Chief.
It underlines further processes for starting political and institutional discussion on the country’s problems.
