Karachi: The price of gold in Pakistan went up a lot on Friday, which was in line with trends in the world market. The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association says that the price of gold per tola went up by Rs 2,200, making it the highest it has ever been at Rs 276,900. In the same way, the price of 10 grams of gold went up by Rs 1,886 and is now Rs 237,397.
On the world market, the price of gold went up by $22, and now an ounce of gold costs $2,657. The sharp rise shows how changes in the international metal market affect local rates. This makes gold an even more valuable currency during times of economic instability.
