Speaker Punjab Assembly Criticizes “Absolutely Not” Stance, Stresses Accountability

Kasur: Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan has attacked people who earlier supported an “absolutely not” policy but are now looking for US help.

Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan addressed the necessity of communication when speaking to the media in Kasur, but he also underlined the need of clearly separating politics from criminality.

He said unequivocally that horrible deeds like those of May 9 cannot be discounted under the cover of discussions. “Those engaged in burning military stations have no right to demand talks,” he said.

The speaker underlined even further that anyone targeting governmental institutions should not expect sympathy. “Ensuring the supremacy of law is essential, and none of the compromises will be made in this regard,” he said.

This comment emphasizes the government’s rigorous attitude toward responsibility and its will to maintain law and order.
