PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Expresses Joy Over Champions Trophy Agreement

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi has welcomed this agreement for the forthcoming Champions Trophy saying that all partners entered the agreement as equals and with respect for each other.

Speaking on the occasion in a statement on the tournament, Naqvi said that the deal being Closed is beneficial of combined mutual efforts of all stakeholders in a given context. He said, “This agreement proves how things can be solved cooperatively.”

Naqvi also thanked the board members of ICC for their role in ‘positively contributing towards the reach of this decision’. He said, “We are grateful to the board of the ICC for their attempts to help to find the common ground.”

He further added saying that organizing the Champions Trophy in Pakistan is a very positive step for Pakistan as it is now coming out of isolation in organizing international cricket. ‘This is the clearest signal that we are fully ready and capable of hosting this august event to the highest standards,’ he said.

PCB Chairman again stressed that the Champions Trophy will bring the excellent experience for players, officials, and spectators. ”It will be our privilege to share JTI’s well-deserved reputation for hospitality with fans and players during this tournament.” he concluded.
