Islamabad: Today, gold prices in Pakistan have fallen; one tola or 11.66 grams of gold costs Rs. 800 less than before. In light of these, the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association has said that going by the new policy, one tola of gold will cost Rs. 272,600.
Likewise, the price for 10 grams of gold was lowered by Rs. 685 and was priced at Rs. 233, 711.
The association also noted that the price of gold in the international market reviewed down by 8 dollars to 2614 dollars per ounce.
Even more important to note is that there was no change in the price of gold in the country yesterday, hence the today’s decline is not due to policy formulation by the government, but due to volatility in the international gold market and other market forces. Thanks to the reduction of the gold prices, consumers were able to have some reprieve, although, market analysts stated that the prices are most likely to go up and down depending on the global market.
