Islamabad: Traveling abroad has become easier for Pakistani citizens, as the Pakistani passport has achieved the 100th position in the 2025 World Passport Rankings after a historic improvement of 13 places.

This list is released every year by Henley & Partners, an international citizenship and residency specialist company, which ranks countries based on visa-free facilities available to passport holders and access to the world.

According to the report, in 2021, Pakistan’s passport was at 113th place, but now the ranking of the Pakistani passport has improved significantly, thanks to which Pakistani travelers do not need a prior visa to enter many countries.

Singapore once again tops the ranking, whose citizens can enjoy visa-free entry to 193 countries.

Japan and South Korea took the second position, while prominent European Union countries such as Germany, France, Finland, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, and Spain are in third position.

The latest list includes Qatar, Nepal, Kenya, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Rwanda, Seychelles, Haiti, Barbados, Burundi, Cambodia, Djibouti, Somalia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Trinidad and Tobago.

According to analysts, the improvement in the global ranking of passports is the result of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and efforts to strengthen bilateral relations. This development will not only boost foreign trade and tourism but will also increase travel opportunities for ordinary citizens.
