Karachi – The Canadian dollar remained firm against the Pakistani rupee on Friday, trading above the Rs. 200 level in both major market segments.
In the open market, the Canadian dollar was quoted at Rs. 200.39 for buying and Rs. 206.05 for selling.
In the interbank market, it was recorded at Rs. 201.47 for buying and Rs. 201.83 for selling.
The Canadian dollar’s strength had implications for education payments, immigration-related transactions, and bilateral trade settlements.
The rate also influenced the rupee value of remittances sent from Pakistani communities living in Canada.
