Suzuki’s first locally assembled SUV Fronix— New race in the market, growing interest among consumers

Karachi: A new competitive atmosphere was created in the local auto sector when Suzuki introduced its latest compact SUV Fronix for the first time in Pakistan with local assembly. Consumers who attended the event called it “Suzuki’s big comeback”, especially at a time when the company had been silent in the SUV segment for a long time.

The Fronix is among the vehicles on which Suzuki has placed a major focus in its future policy. Company representatives said at the event that the international import of the Vitara was not only expensive but also the lack of spare parts for it worried buyers. In this context, it was decided to assemble the Phronix in Pakistan itself, so as to ensure reasonable prices, available parts and affordable repair costs.

Experts say that Suzuki has chosen the right time to enter the market, but the competition is also tough. The Fronix will face off directly with popular SUVs like the Honda HR-V, Kia Stonic and Toyota Corolla Cross. Many customers already seem to be impressed with its design and initial features, but it is not yet possible to determine preferences without a price update.

The Fronix features a 1.5-liter engine, 103 horsepower, 4-speed auto transmission, digital climate control, rear AC vents, wireless charger, keyless entry, 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, EBS, Vehicle Stability Assist, and all the elements that today’s buyers look for in a modern and safe vehicle.

Suzuki says it will announce pricing soon, while the Fronix is also being touted as a potential game-changer given the interest in the market.
