Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Market witnessed a negative trend this week, and investors appeared to be trading cautiously. The Hundred Index lost 502 points and ended the week at 163,304 points.
The volatility of the market can be gauged from the fact that the index traded in a range of 5,372 points throughout the week. At its highest point, the index reached 168,414 points, while its lowest point was 163,041 points.
7.41 billion shares were traded in the stock market, with a total value of Rs 248 billion. As a result of the downturn, market capitalization also shrank and fell by Rs 153 billion to Rs 18,814 billion.
Experts say that concerns about the country’s economic situation and government policies are affecting investor behaviour.
