Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has officially announced a reduction in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices, bringing welcome relief to consumers across Pakistan ahead of the winter season.

According to the notification issued by OGRA, the price of LPG has been slashed by 2.73%, effective from November 1, 2025. This adjustment means the per kilogram price of LPG has dropped by Rs5.88, setting the new retail rate at Rs201.60 per kg.

As a result of this decrease, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has also come down by Rs70, making its new price Rs2,379, compared to Rs2,448 in October.

Officials from OGRA stated that the reduction was driven by two main factors — a decrease in Saudi Aramco’s international LPG price and a slight improvement in the exchange rate, which helped lower import costs.

Energy analysts say the downward revision is a positive step for households and small businesses, many of whom rely on LPG as a primary fuel source for cooking and heating, especially in areas with limited gas supply.

The new prices will remain in effect throughout November, subject to review next month depending on global market trends and currency movements.
