KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) faced a challenging trading week, characterised by a persistent bearish trend that saw the benchmark KSE-100 index losing significant ground. According to the weekly market update, the index closed at 152,740 points, marking a total decline of 1,125 points over the last five trading sessions.
Market volatility remained high throughout the week, with the index fluctuating within a wide band of 6,175 points. The market reached a weekly high of 154,684 points before succumbing to selling pressure, eventually touching a low of 148,509 points.
Analysts suggest that cautious investor sentiment and macroeconomic adjustments contributed to the downward trajectory observed during the week.
