Islamabad: Another bad news is coming for the people suffering from inflation in the country. According to sources, the oil industry has completed its work on the prices of petroleum products, after which OGRA will send a new summary to the Finance Ministry. The final decision will be with the approval of the Prime Minister and the Finance Ministry will officially announce it tomorrow.

According to reports, the fluctuation in crude oil prices in the global market and the depreciation of the rupee against the dollar have increased the pressure on petroleum products. If the new prices are approved, the people will have to bear more inflation next month.

Sources say that petrol is likely to become expensive by Rs 1.97 per liter. Similarly, high-speed diesel can become expensive by Rs 2.48, light diesel by Rs 1.76 and kerosene by Rs 4.65 per liter.

It should be noted that a fortnight ago, the government had not made any change in the price of petrol, however, the price of high-speed diesel was increased by Rs 2.78.

According to experts, the increase in the prices of diesel and kerosene will directly affect agricultural costs and transport costs, which is likely to further increase the pressure of inflation on ordinary citizens.
