Islamabad: The Federal Ministry of Finance has announced the new prices of petrol and diesel, according to which there has been a significant reduction in the price of petrol and a slight increase in the price of diesel.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has decreased by Rs 7.54 to Rs 264.61 per liter, while high-speed diesel has become more expensive by Rs 1.48 to Rs 285.83 per liter.
This decision of the government has given partial relief to the people, but the increase in the price of diesel can become a challenge, especially for the transport and agriculture sectors. According to analysts, the government has taken this decision keeping in mind the fluctuations in prices in the global market.
The new prices will be effective across the country from 12 midnight tonight.
