Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Market had a mixed week last week, where the index faced unusual volatility throughout the week. The 100 index touched a low of 157,203 points, while at one point it also reached a high of 162,118 points.
The investment trend in the market can be gauged from the fact that more than 3.84 billion shares were bought and sold during the week, with a total value of Rs 177 billion. Despite the improvement in trading volume, uncertainty prevailed in the market mood.
At the end of the week, an increase of Rs 146 billion was seen in market capitalisation, after which the total market value reached Rs 18,433 billion. Financial experts say that this increase in the market is a sign of gradual improvement in investor confidence.
The coming week will also prove to be important for investors due to economic policies and external financial impacts.
