Karachi: After a significant drop in crude oil prices in the global market, expectations have increased for cheaper petroleum products in Pakistan. According to experts, this decline can reduce inflationary pressures in the country, especially in transport and food prices.

In the last 11 days, US crude oil has fallen by $5.71 to $63.48 per barrel from $69.26, while the price of British Brent has fallen by $5.72 to $65.98 per barrel from $71.70.

Economists say that Pakistan, which imports a large part of its energy needs, can benefit from this global decline. The announcement of new prices is expected on August 15, and the public is likely to get the good news of a reduction in petroleum products.
