Islamabad: The first major price cut after the budget, OGRA has announced a reduction of Rs 17.73 per kg in prices, giving immediate relief to the public in the form of LPG.

According to the notification, the new rate of LPG from August 1, 2025, will be Rs 215.37 per kg, while the new price of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder has been fixed at Rs 2541.36. Earlier in July, this cylinder was available for Rs 2750.60.

This reduction has been made at a time when inflation has broken the backs of consumers, and even a slight reduction in the cost of fuel has a positive impact on the household budget.

According to OGRA, this decision has been possible due to easing international market prices and improved supply chains at the domestic level. However, experts say that the real challenge is the implementation of these prices in the market, where consumers are often charged higher rates.

OGRA has promised that a strict monitoring system has been activated to ensure implementation of the prices.
