Karachi: The trading week at the Pakistan Stock Exchange proved to be very encouraging for investors, where the 100 index reached the level of 179 thousand points due to heavy buying in the market.
At the end of the trading week, the index recorded a total increase of 6,634 points, while the market fluctuated between 173,200 and 179,467 points during the week, which shows strong trading momentum.
According to market data, 5.18 billion shares were traded in a week, with a total value of Rs 244.75 billion. This vigorous activity resulted in a significant increase of Rs 747 billion in market capitalisation.
Economic analysts say that the recent bullishness is a reflection of the long-term investment trend. According to them, investors are optimistic about the upcoming fiscal indicators and policy measures, which are benefiting the stock market.
