Islamabad: Providing great convenience to taxpayers, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date for filing income tax returns.
According to a notification issued by the FBR, the last date for filing income tax returns for the tax year 2025 was September 30, 2025, however, on the requests of trade bodies, tax bar associations and various stakeholders, this date has been extended to October 15, 2025.
The notification states that this extension is for those individuals and institutions who were required to file returns by September 30.
Tax experts say that this decision has brought relief to traders and salaried class, as a large number of people were unable to file returns due to lack of time.
