عَنْ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ:
«كَانَ النِّدَاءُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَوَّلَهُ إِذَا جَلَسَ الإِمَامُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ…»
حضرت سائب بن یزیدؓ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے زمانے میں جمعہ کے دن اذان اس وقت دی جاتی تھی جب امام منبر پر بیٹھ جاتا تھا… (بعد میں حضرت عثمانؓ کے دور میں لوگوں کی کثرت کے باعث ایک اور اذان کا اضافہ کیا گیا)۔
