Islamabad: Heart attack symptoms are mostly associated with the time of day, but according to experts, the risk of a heart attack can also occur in the middle of the night or early morning, and this situation is often ignored.
Experts say that blood pressure usually decreases during sleep, but if the body is affected by mental stress, high cholesterol or chronic heart disease, the risk increases. According to statistics, about one in five heart attacks occur between 12 midnight and 6 am.
The most prominent symptom during this time is heartburn and pressure in the chest, which disrupts sleep and the pain often spreads to the shoulders and back. Other symptoms include shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, cold sweat, tremors, nausea, and dizziness.
Experts recommend that people who suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes, or obesity should take extra precautions. Regular checkups, a balanced diet, exercise, meditation, and stress-reducing activities can help improve heart health.
