BISP’s Benazir Hunarmand Program: Free Courses and How to Apply

Islamabad: Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has launched its Benazir Hunarmand Program, which is offering free skill development courses to women and youth across Pakistan from June 21, 2025. The initiative includes training in:

Technical and Vocational: Plumbing, Electrical Work, Carpentry.

Beauty and Handicrafts: Sewing, Tailoring, Beauty Services.

IT and Digital: Computer Literacy, Web Design, Basic Coding.

Eligibility extends to registered BISP beneficiaries, with preference given to those with Matriculation or Primary Education, who have completed biometric verification. Applicants must be literate in Urdu or English, depending on the course. Women and youth from low-income households are strongly encouraged to apply.

How to Apply:

  1. Verify your CNIC and ensure that you are enrolled in BISP.
  2. Check your eligibility by sending your 13-digit CNIC to 8171 or online on the BISP portal.
  3. Eligible participants can visit their nearest BISP office or apply online through affiliated training institutes.
  4. The last date for applications is 22 July 2025.

Participants will get certified through partner institutes like NAVTTC and KCCI, with training lasting 3 to 6 months depending on the course. The programme empowers beneficiaries to acquire income-generating skills, with thousands expected to enroll in the first round.
