Asian Development Bank’s $3 million emergency grant for Pakistan flood victims

Islamabad: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has decided to provide $3 million in emergency aid for those affected by the recent rains and floods in Pakistan.

The ADB president observed the affected areas of the Ravi River during his visit to Lahore and expressed deep concern over the damage caused by the floods.

According to the announcement, this fund will be used for immediate relief and provision of basic necessities to support the affected families.

Experts say that this aid from international organizations will be helpful in reducing the difficulties of the victims. However, according to policy analysts, Pakistan will have to focus on climate change and urban planning in the long term.
