Islamabad: Federal Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that Pakistan’s economy is moving towards improvement with reforms and the government is paying special attention to the digital sector in the future economic direction. According to him, 10 to 15 percent of citizens are already connected to digital businesses, while digital assets will play an important role in the country’s economy in the future.
He said that due to the complexity of Pakistan’s banking system, transparency and better regulations in digital investment are indispensable. The Federal Minister said that crypto mining is also being considered and a crypto council has been formed for this.
Muhammad Aurangzeb added that foreign exchange is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy and agriculture, IT and freelancing sectors can play a vital role in it. He said that currently there is surplus energy in the country which can be utilized to give a new dimension to economic development.
