Positive progress in Pakistan-Bangladesh relations: Ishaq Dar expresses his views in Dhaka

Dhaka: Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that positive progress has been seen in relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh and the two countries can open new avenues of development in the region by promoting education, trade and public relations.

Addressing a ceremony at the Pakistani High Commission in Dhaka, Ishaq Dar said that it is the need of the hour to transform the relations established on historical and cultural foundations into practical cooperation. According to him, relations have improved significantly during the past one year and the two countries can work together on various projects in the future.

Ishaq Dar stressed that Pakistan and Bangladesh must adopt a common strategy to address common issues such as climate change and security threats. He said that SAARC is a key platform in the development of the region and it is imperative to make it more dynamic.
