London, UK: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the government is fully committed to the agenda of economic reforms and political stability, and Pakistan is moving in the right direction, which is why the 27th Constitutional Amendment is not being considered at present.

Speaking to reporters in London, he said that the government’s focus is currently on the full implementation of the 26th Amendment and the stabilization of the economy. “Positive results are being achieved under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the economic indicators have improved,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Office has confirmed that Ishaq Dar held a high-level meeting with British Minister Hamish Faulkner in London, during which it was agreed to increase cooperation in various areas including trade, investment, education and public relations.

The two leaders also had a detailed discussion on the regional and global situation. Pakistan stressed the importance of a just and lasting solution to the Jammu and Kashmir issue and reiterated its commitment to peace and stability in South Asia.
