Islamabad: The federal government today announced significant changes in the prices of petroleum products. The public has good news that the price of diesel has been reduced by Rs 12.84 per liter, while the price of petrol will remain unchanged.
The reduction in kerosene by Rs 7.19 per liter and light diesel oil by Rs 8.20 per liter will have a positive impact on the daily income of the people. According to the Ministry of Finance, the new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 272.99 per liter, and petrol at Rs 264.61 per liter.
Experts say that the reduction in diesel can prove beneficial for the logistics and transport sector, while the stability in the price of petrol will help maintain the current balance in the market.
