Islamabad: Celebrating Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, President Asif Ali Zardari delivered a message centered on unity, justice, and national resolve. He honored the nation’s founders and encouraged citizens to unite behind a vision of justice and equality. The President also highlighted the recent “Marka-e-Haq” conflict as a testament to the nation’s strength and solidarity.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif connected the military’s success in the same conflict to the very foundation of Pakistan. He described the victory not just as a tactical achievement but as a powerful validation of the Two-Nation Theory. Both leaders collectively called for Pakistanis to set aside their differences to build a stronger and more prosperous future.
