PSX records record high, crosses 1,47,000 points — 1,50,000 target nears

Karachi: The month of August has brought good news for investors in the Pakistan Stock Market, as the 100 Index has achieved a new high every trading day. Today, the market crossed the 1,47,000-point milestone for the first time, which is a positive sign for the country’s economy.

The index reached a high of 1,47,005 points during trading, while in the closing session it closed at 1,46,929 points with a gain of 1,547 points. Today, 61 crore shares were traded, worth Rs 44 billion.

At the end of last week, the 100 index was at 1,45,382 points, thus the current increase not only broke the record but experts expect that the target of 1,50,000 points may also be crossed soon.
